About Marcora

Built by a product marketer who got tired of recreating the same content workflow

Marcora started as a solution to my own AI tooling frustrations.

The Story Behind Marcora

The Spark

When ChatGPT emerged, I kept thinking about the problem I faced constantly: using the same templates over and over, trying to maintain consistency while adapting for different audiences—and having to re-explain my product and business context every single time. What if there was a system that knew my business deeply and could help maintain that consistency across all the variations I needed to create?

The idea for Marcora hit me right away, but it was easy to keep putting it off. Then in early 2024, I got laid off. Suddenly, I had the time to explore it seriously.

By summer 2024, I was building what would become Marcora. The final push came from an unexpected place: I was interviewing for a product marketing position (ironically, at the company whose platform I now use for Marcora's backend). I thought, "Maybe this is the sign to just start building." I didn't get that job, but it launched me into creating something better.

The Validation

I then took a PMM role for a year and a half as a product marketer for a financial software company. I built Marcora nights and weekends. As features came together, I started using it more and more for my day-to-day work. It was so effective that I ended up building all my content workflows into Marcora.

That's when I knew this was real. If Marcora was making my job dramatically easier and better, other product marketers needed it too. Using it daily in real-world marketing work has shaped every feature, every workflow, every design decision.

I could have launched an MVP much earlier, but several times as I prepared to launch, something didn't feel right—it didn't fully meet my own needs yet. I kept building until Marcora wasn't just the minimum product to launch, but a fully complete solution for my entire iterative, collaborative content workflow. If I wouldn't rely on it daily for my own brand-consistent content creation, I wasn't going to ask you to.

What Makes Marcora Different

Built For Us

I Built This For Us

Marcora wasn't created by a tech company looking for a market opportunity. It was built by a product marketer solving their own problem, then refined through daily use in an actual product marketing role.

Every feature exists because I needed it. Every workflow reflects how I actually work. Every time-saver came from eliminating something that was wasting my time.

Technical + Marketing DNA

Technical + Marketing DNA

Having both development and marketing backgrounds means I understand what's possible with technology and what marketers actually need. I'm not building features because they're technically interesting—I'm building solutions to real marketing challenges.

This combination also means Marcora can evolve with AI technology while staying grounded in marketing reality. Technical sophistication in service of marketing simplicity.

Battle-Tested Daily

Battle-Tested Daily

I don't just build Marcora—I use it every day in my own product marketing work. When something doesn't work well, I experience that frustration firsthand. When a workflow could be smoother, I feel that friction myself.

This daily usage in a real product marketing role means Marcora evolves based on real needs, not theoretical use cases or feature checklists.

The Mission

Product marketers should spend their time on strategy and customer understanding—not copying and pasting text between documents.

I built Marcora to eliminate the repetitive, time-consuming parts of content creation so we can focus on what actually matters: positioning, messaging, and connecting with customers.

If you're spending hours creating variations of the same content for different audiences, or if you've ever thought "there has to be a better way"—Marcora is for you.

What's Next

Marcora is growing based on real product marketing needs. As I use it daily and as more marketers join, we're building the features that actually make our jobs easier and more strategic.

The Blueprint Exchange is growing with templates from real product marketers. The AI capabilities are getting smarter based on how we actually work. The collaboration features are evolving to support how teams really create content together.

If you're a product marketer frustrated with the current tools and workflows, I'd love for you to try Marcora. And if you have ideas for making it better, I'm all ears—because I'm building this for us.
